Meet Frank Morelli

Frank Morelli, M.A. is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in metropolitan Jacksonville, Florida.  He received his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 1988.  Frank obtained his Florida license in 1992.  His career in mental health spans more than two decades, having exposed Frank to all aspects of service delivery, including inpatient and outpatient settings, public and private practice, program development, and community mental health.

During his work with clients from all backgrounds, Frank became convinced of the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy for treating a wide range of emotional problems.  He completed a year long Primary Practicum in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) in 1998 under the staff supervision of the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City.  Dr. Ellis is widely regarded as one of the originators of cognitive behavioral therapy.  He holds the distinction of being the most influential person in psychology since Sigmund Freud.

Frank is a graduate of the Behavior Therapy Institute (BTI).  The BTI is provided by the  International OCD Foundation for teaching state-of-the-art Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) to clinicians from all over the world.

Frank is a Board Member-at-Large for the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation of Jacksonville, Inc., a not-for-profit agency that strives to educate, support, and assist sufferers of OCD and their families. 

Frank is a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, a denomination of the Southern Baptist Convention.   Frank regards Jesus Christ as his personal savior and friend.  He believes that the abundant life spoken of in Scripture comes from experiencing a deep and abiding relationship with God and others.  Relationships are what make life meaningful and special.  It is the reason Frank is passionate about counseling others.
